Proverbs

Proverbs is presented here as a book of wisdom, restraint, speech, discipline, desire, consequence, and the quiet formation of a rightly ordered life. This album follows the collection through counsel and warning, through the contrast between wisdom and folly, through the shaping of character, the danger of loose words, the pull of temptation, the weight of pride, and the steady call to humility, diligence, and discernment. Its vision is not abstract philosophy, but lived clarity: a life measured in decisions, shaped by reverence, and revealed through conduct over time.

The album’s sonic identity is polished late-70s and early-80s soft rock with warm studio sheen, smooth groove, electric piano, clean guitar, melodic bass, crisp live drums, restrained brass or sax color, and rich layered harmonies. Its sound moves through luminous mid-tempo groove, nocturnal warning songs, narrative tension, harmony-rich anthems, and occasional disco-inflected lift, giving the record both elegance and movement. Rather than leaning into nostalgia or softness, the music stays precise, composed, and rhythmically alive, allowing smooth surfaces to carry lyrical sharpness and moral weight beneath them.
